Gluten free is not a trend. For some people it’s a dietary necessity.
When Loriley was medically told to remove gluten from her diet in 2014, recording what she ate in a blog and finding places that offered gluten free when dining out, became a way of life. She now never leaves her house without her camera, for the perfect food shot.
Advertising and blogging have become so tightly linked thanks to the rise of influencers, that there are so many skills that can be transferred from work and play.
In 2014 she set up a hashtag and food community, #fdbloggers, where food bloggers could link their work via social media, discuss tips via weekly Twitter chats and meet up at regular events. It’s created millions of impressions and been used on Instagram over 84,000 times.
By summer 2016 she was named one of Good Housekeeping Magazine's top eight Instagram accounts for gluten free food and was a featured pinner on Pinterest, racking up almost 40K followers.
